“Independent cybersecurity commentary. No fluff. No spin. Just signal.”

Welcome to Fabricati Diem — a blog for those who believe that cybersecurity is too important to be left to the people who think “zero trust” is a good name for a leadership style.

This site is the phoenix that rose from the smouldering remains of a previous blog — one that was tragically retired after a series of legal proceedings so absurd they could’ve been scripted by a committee of overpaid orangutans and a particularly vengeful office coffee machine.

The old blog was built on a principle I coined: Public Exposure — the idea that some vulnerabilities don’t need a CVE to be dangerous, just a bit of scanning and a curious mind. The goal was always to throw things into the open, to invite scrutiny, discussion, and the occasional well-aimed rebuttal.

Not everything takes kindly to fresh air. Some things — like legacy systems, office politics, and certain executive decisions — seem to prefer the cozy gloom of a locked filing cabinet. When the sunlight poured in, someone decided it was time to quietly close the shutters and pretend it was nighttime all along.

But enough about that. We’re back: wiser, warier, and with a slightly more secure perimeter.

What to Expect #

  • Republished write-ups from the contributors of our original blog, Public Exposure.
  • Fresh commentary that cuts through the noise and calls out the nonsense.
  • The story of what happened, told with the kind of restraint and diplomacy that would make a Patrician proud.

So, welcome. Mind the tripwires.

And remember:
